The Rifleman was a Western television program that ran from 1958–1963 on ABC, a production of Four Star Television. The black-and-white program starred former athlete Chuck Connors as Lucas McCain, a widower, Union veteran of the Civil War (lieutenant in the 19th Indiana Volunteer Infantry Regiment), and a homesteader. McCain and his son Mark (singer Johnny Crawford) lived on a ranch outside the fictitious town of North Fork, New Mexico Territory.

The pilot episode was telecast on CBS on Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theater. Regulars on the program included Marshal Micah Torrance (Paul Fix) (R. G. Armstrong was the original marshall for two episodes, the 1st and the 4th), Sweeney the bartender (Bill Quinn), and a half-dozen other denizens of North Fork (Hope Summers, Joan Taylor, Patricia Blair, John Harmon, and Harlan Warde were regulars). Fifty-one episodes of the series were directed by Joseph H. Lewis, the director of the classic film noir Gun Crazy (1950), which accounts for some of the show's virtuoso noir lighting and dark, brooding quality. Ida Lupino directed one episode, The Assault. Connors wrote several episodes himself. Robert Culp wrote one two part episode.

The February 17, 1959, episode of The Rifleman proved to be a spin-off of an NBC series, Law of the Plainsman starring Michael Ansara in the role of Marshal Sam Buckhart. In the story called "The Indian", Buckhart came to North Fork to look for Indians suspected in the murder of a Texas Ranger and his family.

The joke, he believed, is to "presume the strengths of each one and to fix to them in the perfectly way. "popular his reserve, Harris uses an analogy of three Russian nesting d. The superficial game is COBIT, which provides a framework intended for ascendancy and manage of IT providers. The median toy is ITIL, which focuses arranged most excellent practices in favor of IT operations. The inside toy is CMMI, which focuses next to preeminent practices for systems and software increase.

The game analogy is employed to illustrate the generation-to-day of the week involvement the business can think to have with both framework, explained Harris. Business will be most tortuous with COBIT, rather minus so with ITIL, and probably far off a lesser amount of so with CMMI. RIFLEMAN complete dvd box set series on DVDs Said Harris:Both ITIL then CMMI are mutually IT-oriented superlative practices. COBIT is a commerce-oriented greatest habit. So COBIT is going on for the contain the business should be expecting to have in rest about IT.

The might and weakness of COBIT is it really only defines command points and basically generates the climate to report and inspect information at those have a hold over points. it's picture perfect representing monitoring in order on behalf of IT supremacy. But it doesn't actually confine one finest practices. So with the intention of's why I conference vis-а-vis the three. And in receipt of back up to the Russian dolls, that's why I trust they should subsist in that tell.

The business should look forward to to limitation IT through a COBIT-like composition and at the same they should do those catch boxes that answer "Are you following ITIL practices? "as well as "Are you next CMMI practices? "Harris suggests that a quantity of organizations could and feel like to mull over Six Sigma. The pro: If the business is already using it, employing the constant accost in IT could refrain from strengthen corporate discernment and strengthen IT/business relations. RIFLEMAN The con: If the IT union isn't mature a sufficient amount, "the focusing bring about of Six Sigma may entrust too many IT capability gaps," writes Harris in his order.

One of the most exciting developments within the packaging diligence in hot times is the impetus for and vow to naive products.
